Welcome!

The Foothill Fibers Guild is open to anyone interested in a wide range of fiber pursuits. The areas of focus for the guild are spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting, felting, fiber raising and processing, basket making, dyeing, and wearable art. All levels of expertise are welcome.

The mission of the Foothill Fibers Guild is to promote greater interest in the fiber arts, to exchange ideas, and to act as sources of inspiration for one another.

Foothill Fibers Guild was established in 1980 and serves the Sierra foothills. We hold monthly meetings, in person and via Zoom, in the Community Room at the Madelyn Helling Library, 980 Helling Way, Nevada City, CA, on the fourth Tuesday of the month, except in June, July, August, and December. (June and December meetings are usually held elsewhere.) Doors open at 6:15 PM for socializing and the meeting starts at 6:45 PM. You are most welcome to attend one meeting at no cost if you are undecided about joining the guild.

♦ Join us for Second Saturday Social every month, except August,  when we meet in the community room at the Madelyn Helling Library from 1 to 3 PM to enjoy socializing and spinning, knitting, or any other fiber project you can bring with you. This is a fun, informal way to get to know members of the guild.
