On June 25, 2021, Guild member Debbie Scott passed away in her sleep. Her death was a great shock to friends and family. Debbie was a knitter, spinner, basket maker, and weaver. She is survived by her daughter, son, and grandson. She is pictured here, setting up for the 2019 County Fair.
On July 9, 2021, Bhakti Banning “walked into the forest,” as her daughter described. She died peacefully, surrounded by her family, after a long battle with cancer. Bhakti was a fiber artist working in many realms and recently donated her fiber art supplies to the Guild. She is survived by her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson.
The Guild recently learned from her daughter that member Mindy Keys passed away on July 3, 2021. Mindy was a spinner, knitter, and fiber processor. Mindy lived with her daughter in Nevada City and was dealing with cancer.
